Margaret C. Howell, of Durham, North Carolina, married Clark Howell in 1923 and lived in Atlanta, Georgia. The couple had two children, Clark Jr. and William Barrett. Clark Howell, the son of Clark Howell and the grandson of Captain Evan P. Howell, was publisher and president of the Atlanta Constitution from 1936-1960.
